My report writing on meerkats

 Meerkats are a cute and are light brown coloured animals.  Meerkats live in areas of clumpy grassland and deserts in the southern area of the African continent, including the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, the Namibia Desert in Namibia,  southwestern Angola and in South Africa. A family group of meerkats can be called a mob, gang or clan.

Meerkats mostly eat insects, which they sniff out using their enhanced sense of smell. They also eat small rodents, fruit, birds, eggs, lizards and as we've seen poisonous scorpions as well as snakes. Meerkats run on four legs and stand on two legs.

Meerkats are curious animals ,  Meerkats have excellent eyesight, they can spot predators in the air from more than 300 m away. They have great peripheral vision and can see in the dark .

  

These squirrel-size members of the mongoose family live in groups as large as 40 and everyone in the mob participates in gathering food, keeping a look out for predators, and taking care of their babies.

I have enjoyed finding out interesting facts about Meerkats. I think they are funny and cute.

How Polar Animals Hide.

In Room 4 we are learning how to Screencastify, this is my first time doing it.

I chose this book because I like reading about animals.

Friday feldtrip

 On Friday the 6 of November room 4 and 1 went on a bus to Margaret Mahy playground. We played on Margaret Mahy for like 10 or 20 minutes. I went on the gigantic metal slide. Then we walked to the library. It didn't take that long to get to the library and we saw a tram! Once we got to the library, we played LEGO. Then we built a Lego skyscraper. People were being too noisy so we got kicked off the playground. Then we went to the museum. It was epic! We played a Maori, game that was played 100 years ago. Then we played rocks and shells. After all of the activities we got on the bus and went home.

When I got out of the one car trip to Hamner Springs I was so excited . At Hamner Springs the pools are outside. I went in the lazy river the right way. I got out the lazy river it was cold. Then I went on the hydro slide. It was very fun! 

A day in the life of a Panda

WALT: write in first person 

I was in a gigantic bamboo tree I was eating peacefully then I heard a rumble. I jumped off the tree and landed pretty roughly on the light green grass. I am an omnivore so I eat both meat and plants. My main diet is bamboo. I am getting very old and I will only live until I am about 30 years old.  I am an endangered species, so I try and spend my days staying safe, there are only 1000 of my panda friends left in the world. After a hard day of eating and hanging out with my friends I like to go to sleep in a warm dry spot.

video game argument

Firstly you can play online and you can communicate with your friends. You can play with your friends after school. I played online a lot in the lock down because I couldn’t see my friends in person. 

Secondly, parents can put age restrictions on the Apps if they think the games are too violent. This is good because for little kids some games are scary, so it keeps them safe.

Finally, video games are lots of fun,my favorite game is Fortnite because you have fun trying to get up the levels.

In conclusion, I strongly believe kids should be able to play video games because they are fun and educational.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

    

school uniform arguement

I strongly believe we should be able to wear pants as a part of our school uniform because I like wearing pants better than shorts, they keep me warmer and would look smart with my uniform. 

Firstly in the winter it is as cold as ice and you can get hypothermia and get sick.

   

Secondly long pants would be better because they would keep my legs warmer.

Finally they would look smart with my uniform.

In conclusion I strongly believe we should be able to wear pants in term 2 and 3 at school to keep us warm.

Shrek Character Description.

WALT: Write a character description.

Shrek is as fat as a colossal fish.  He is as green as grass, and has ears that look like trumpets!
His pants are so black it looks like his pants have got burnt by a dragon.
Shrek is so mean on the outside but on the inside he is loving and caring like a baby kitten.
I like Shrek because he is a cool dude and does silly things that make me laugh.

Friday Quick Post 2

Once upon a time there lived a Fortnite character and his name was Deadpool. He lives on a yacht
with henchmen. Deadpool protects his henchman with his dual hand guns, so he is always ready for combat.
He has ghost Meowscles as a pet, they both have enemies who want to get Deadpools and Meowscles money. Deadpool keeps everyone safe by using his dual hand guns.......watch out enemies!!!!

Friday Quick post

Once upon a time in a cat village lived a big cat and his name was Meowscles he is not an ordinary  cat he is a cat on 2 legs. He is furry and has muscles like a body builder. Meowscles can lift a truck, he as as strong as titanium. He is fearless like a lion. Meowscles lives in box factory in the snowy mountains. It is as cold as ice. He has enemies that try to destroy him but he has a powpow rifle so he is always ready for combat. I like Meowscles because he is loyal to his friends and always protects them.
